Tumxuk Tangwangcheng Airport was freshly opened for public use in December 2018. It is tucked away in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region and lies close to Tumxuk (or Tumushuke) city with a distance of 9 kms separating the airport from the downtown. A journey by car would take about 15 minutes along country road 594. At present, there is only one flight going from Tumxuk to Urumqi airport. This route is aided by China Southern Airlines.
