Resonant Sand Gorge

The Resonant Sand Gorge is located near the Baotou City in Inner Mongolia, China. The Gorge flanks the Kubuqi Desert with its 400-meters flat crescent-shaped sand dunes and 45-degrees sandy slopes. The Gorge is named due to the acoustics of the region. If you slide down the sand dunes it will sound like a loud bell ringing and will resonate in the Gorge. The Gorge is a popular tourist attraction with accommodation facilities for more than 4,000 people at a time. The various entertainment activities include sand painting, singing, dancing, rhythmic gymnastics, balancing acts, and more. Their delicious cuisine includes roasted whole lamb and local brews.
