An aspect of Chongqing, China that locals and tourists use with equal measure are the Cable Car Trips. Locals use the cable cars for their daily travel, and tourists use them because they are the most affordable mode of public transport. The cable cars connect the Nan’an and the Yuzhong Districts. One route goes across the Yangtze River and the other over the Jialing River, thus also connecting several scenic areas and tourist attractions. The cars give you a superlative bird’s eye view along whichever route you take, with the beautiful river below, and the mountains peaks, temples, and pavilions, villages, and other attractions visible in the distance.
