Beishan Park

Jilin City, China

Located just a few kilometers from Jilin City, Jilin Province, China is the splendid Beishan Park (Jiulong Mountain or Nine Dragon Mountain). About 300 years ago the locals believed that dragons emerged from this site, hence the name. Even today the locals consider it a holy site. There are temple fairs in March and April at the Beishan Temple where you can see the Yangko folk dance. This is a temple that has a mixed tradition of Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism. Interspersed with the temple complex and natural greenery are various pavilions, historical buildings, kiosks, and a viewing stage that gives a panoramic view of the Park.
