Lao Shan or Mount Lao is a magnificent peak facing the Yellow Sea in Qingdao, China. It is a popular tourist destination for people around the world because it is blessed with both mountainous and beachside natural landscapes. The locals visit the mountain for religious reasons. A Taoist temple, the Temple of Supreme Purity built during the Song Dynasty is located on the mountain. It has the exquisite statues of the Taoist holy trinity – Supreme Pure One, the Grand Pure One, and the Jade Pure One. It is still a place of worship. Besides, there are more than 13 scenic areas and temples on the mountain and around it.
