Xiao Zhongdian

Xiao Zhongdian, which is now called Shangri-La County is in the Yunnan Province, China. The County is situated on a 3,300 meters high plateau in the Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It is considered to be a treasure of scenic areas, pine green forests, picturesque high-altitude alpine lakes, tall snow-capped mountain peaks, lower slopes with rich pastures, and more. Besides the spectacular natural landscape, there are numerous Tibetan villages around the forest area that are popular tourist destinations. Other attractions include the Gadain Sumzanling Monastery, the Ancient Town & Museum, and the Napa Lake.
