Lu Xun's Former Residence (Lu Xun Native Place)

Considered a great thinker and literary exponent during the Qing Dynasty, Lu Xun was admired all over China. Lu Xun (originally named Zhou Shuren) was a member of the imperial academy in that period. It was considered a very prestigious position in the royal courts. His writings on fine arts, translations, and ancient books are considered his best pieces. Even today, some of his writings are taught in schools all over China. Lu Xun's Former Residence or Lu Xun Native Place in Shaoxing was his home and is now a museum. The home is built in superb symmetry and has various sections that contain personal items that belonged to him and his family. It is worth a visit if you are in Shaoxing.
