The Former Residence of Mao Dun is a tourist attraction that has a lot of historical significance. It is located in the Wuzhen Town, Zhejiang Province, China. Mao Dun is the pen-name of Shen Yanging who was a great 20th-century author renowned for his progressive thoughts. The Residence is protected under the Chinese government’s Historical and Cultural Sites list. Also known as the Tongxiang Mao Dun Memorial, the home as two large landscaped courtyards spread over 450 square meters and four massive gates. Mao Dun’s study room which opens onto a boulevard has a very scholarly aura and a touch of affluence.
