Hukou Waterfall

The Yellow River in China is considered a peaceful one compared to the Yangtze. But when its waters fall 30 meters down into a valley, it sounds like there are thousands of galloping horses. This miracle of nature is called the Hukou Waterfall, which is located in the Yan'an County of Shaanxi Province. In the spring and summer seasons, the River is in full spate and the frozen icicles melt to form a huge deluge of water. In the autumn and winter seasons, the cliff is covered with tiny icicles that glitter in the sunlight, forming a diamond-like-tiara for the flowing water. Hence, it is one of the most photographed Waterfalls in the country.
