<li>How and Where to Buy Tickets</li>
</ul>
There are two ways to buy a ticket. First, you can opt to get a single ticket. You can purchase single tickets from a ticket window or a vending machine. These are found mostly on the stations or near the area.
The second way is to purchase a transit card. You can pay fares by using the Nanjing Public Utility IC Card, also called Jinlingtong. You can buy a card with a refundable fee worth 25 yuan. You can refill your transit card at ticket booths found in the metro systems or convenience stores. You can also use your transit card to pay other public transportation modes like the city bus or taxi cab.

<li>Connections to Train Stations and Airports</li>

These are the connected train stations and airports from the Nanjing Metro:
Line 1: Line 1 has 27 stations that connect to the Nanjing Railway Station and South Railway Station.
Line 2: Line 2 has 26 stations that connect to the Youfangqiao Station and the Jingtianlu Station.
Line 3: Line 3 connects to the Linchang Station in Pukou District and the Mozhou Road Station in Jiangning District. It also connects to the Long Distance Bus Station, South Railway Station, and the Railway Station.
Line S1: Line S1 connects to the Airport Line starting from the South Railway Station to the Nanjing Lukou International Airport.
Line S3: Line S3 connects to the South Railway Station.
Line S7: Line S7 connects to the Nanjing Metro Line S1 at the Konggang Xincheng Jiangning Station.
Line S8: Line S8 connects to Taishanxincun Station and Jiniuhu Station.
Line S9: Line S9 connects to Gaochun and Xiangyulunan from 6 stations. It also connects to the Lukou International Airport.

There are a lot of major districts and cities that the Nanjing Metro System passes, but these are some of the most popular spots and landmarks that you can check out in the area:
Line 2: You can marvel at the city proper’s local sceneries and the Xianlin University, a major school in the area.
Line 3: You can pass the Yangtze River and visit the Confucius Temple, Presidential Palace, and the Xuanwu Lake.
Line 4: You can pass a lot of notable universities along the way such as Nanjing University, Hohai University, and Southeast University.
Line 10: You can cross the Yangtze River and arrive from the north bank to the main city center.
Line S9: You can take a look at the beautiful lake Shijiu and the scenic views surrounding the area.
