<p>There are two ways to buy a ticket. First, you can opt to get a single ticket. You can purchase single tickets from a ticket window or a vending machine. These are found mostly on the stations or near the area.</p>
<p>The second way is to purchase a transit card. You can pay fares by using the Nanjing Public Utility IC Card, also called Jinlingtong. You can buy a card with a refundable fee worth 25 yuan. You can refill your transit card at ticket booths found in the metro systems or convenience stores. You can also use your transit card to pay other public transportation modes like the city bus or taxi cab.</p>
