Within the Qinghai province, towards the south-east end lies the town of Golog which is home to the Golog Maqin Airport. Opened in 2016, the airport is concisely built and has limited operations. 16 scheduled flights per week go to Xining airport facilitated by China Eastern Airlines though Xi’an is a listed destination as well. Built 11 kms out of town, it takes an estimated 25 minutes to reach the center of the little town.
