Located in the Sichuan province of China, Aba Hongyuan Airport shortens the journey to Chengdu for residents of Hongyuan county. It is a small building, constructed 3,500 meters above sea-level, due to which winter weather may not be conducive for flight service. It has flights through Air China to Chengdu and Lhasa. As it is separated from town with 50 kms in between, the taxi in to Hongyuan takes an hour via National Highway 209.
