Renamed to Hailar Hulunbuir Airport in 2011, it serves the rural town of Hailar in Inner Mongolia. Downtown is 8 kms apart and a cab takes 20 minutes tops. There are large number of flights to Hohhot and Beijing while other less busy destinations are Tianjin, Jiagedaqi, Zhalantun, Ulanhot, Chifeng, Nanchang and Harbin. There are occasional flights to Mongolia as well. Options for available carriers are Air China, China Express, Fuzhou, Chengdu, Suparna and Hainan.
