Yushu Batang Airport is a compact airport with limited operations that serves Yushu city in the Chinese province of Qinghai. It is designated to provide connection from the city to Beijing, Xining, Chengdu, Xi’an and Lhasa. The busiest route has proven to be Xining. The connections are facilitated by China Eastern, Beijing Capital and Tibet Airlines. Though the downtown is a mere 18 kms away, it takes nearly an hour to get to by car.
