Zhalantun Chengjisihan Airport (aka Zhalantun Genghis Khan Airport), in Inner Mongolia, was opened for civil use in December 2016. The airfield is limited operations and small and offers four destinations, of which only three are regular. There are connections to Hailar, Hohhot and Tianjin airports made possible by China Express Airlines. Urban hub of the city is at a distance of 20 kms north of the airport and is covered in 35 minutes by taxi.
