Altay Airport

A small basic airport in Northern part of Xinjiang Province, Altay Airport has its major traffic coming to and from Urumqi via China Southern and Tianjin Airlines. Karamay, Xi’an and Korla are the other destinations touched by JoyAir, Sichuan and China Express Airlines at this airport. It has a few souvenir shops inside and is quite remote, almost half an hour car ride from the city center and links to the China National Highway 216.
