<p>Jinan Metro is the city of Jinan&rsquo;s brand new rapid transit system. Its only operational line called R1 started its 3-month public trial run on January 1, 2019. Therefore, it hasn&rsquo;t officially opened yet. Here&rsquo;s more information about Jinan Metro:</p>

<p>No official ticket prices have been announced yet. However, it&rsquo;ll start at CNY2 same as all other metro stations in China. The ticket prices will vary according to the distance of travel.</p>

<p>Tickets will be available on self-service ticket vending machines in every station.</p>

<p><strong>R1: </strong>R1 has a total length of 26.1 km covering 11 stations including Jinan West Railway Station. Its route starts at Fangte and ends at Gongyanyuan and vice versa.</p>

<p>Line R2 and phase one of Line R3 is still under construction. They&rsquo;ll be ready within the next 2-3 years. Meanwhile, phase two of Line R3 and the entirety of Line M1, M2, M3, M4, and R5 were already planned but haven&rsquo;t begun construction yet.</p>
