Sheshan Astronomical Observatory

It is among the oldest astronomical observatory that is found in China where the oldest telescopes in astronomy are kept. It was established in 1899 and built by Jesuits, a French man. It is located at the western peak of Sheshan mountain. It is a hemispherical building which is silver in color and falls in the top 5 of China’s astronomical plant for research. Since China became a Republic there has been over thirty international and domestic achievements in the field of Astronomy, science, and technology. A building that is religious and a scientific one which is built in a different style for the different purposes are found at the top of this same mountain.
