Impression Lijiang is a unique, colorful, and spectacular outdoor performance staged by 500 members of the local Bai, Naxi, and Yi ethnic groups of the Lijiang region of China. Directed by Zhang Yimou, it depicts the local lifestyle and customs. The performance takes place at a height of 3,100 meters above sea level against the backdrop of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It consists of singing, dancing, drumming, and horse riding and is a captivating sight. Although the show is in Mandarin, tourists can understand the stories through the actions.
