The Lashi Lake is one of the wonderful natural gems of the Lashihai Plateau Wetland Nature Reserve, a large scenic area near Lijiang, China. The most awesome sight at the lakeside is the large number of migratory birds that come here in winter. The northern Meiquan River and southern Qingshui River ensure that the lake is always full with fresh waters. The reflection of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the lake has inspired many authors, poets, and painters of the region. The hills around the lake have beautiful karst rock-faces that look very colorful. The entire scene is a photographer’s treasure trove! You can explore the lake and its scenic area by boat and on horseback.
