One of the most visited tourist attraction near Lijiang, China is the Yunshan Ping (Spruce Meadow). It is considered the “kingdom of natural medicine” because countless plants used in traditional Chinese medicines are found here. The Naxi ethnic minority group in the nearby villages consider this meadow a holy place and come here to pray. The meadow is blessed with colorful blooms like azaleas and gentians almost 10 months of the year, making it a photographer’s delight. In June, the place is filled with locals and tourists to enjoy the Torch Festival and participate in dancing, singing, horse racing, and wrestling matches.
