Former Residence of Lei Lutai

Lei Lutai was one of the pioneering bankers in the area and a founder of the Rishengchang Financial Exchange. His residence is located in the Shangximen Street and it is open for tourists. There are two reasons why you should visit this attraction – it is a genuine example of how an urban residence used to look like and it has breathtaking courtyards. A total of four courtyards are all connected but done in different style.
Upon entering the residence, you will see a statue of Lei Lutai and a list of his achievements. In one of the courtyards, you can even find a fortune teller machine, but it is only available in Chinese.
