This local museum of history and art is located in Zhangjia Lane. The construction was finished in 1986 and the design includes two stages and two stands, as well as four showrooms. One of the showrooms portrays the development of local Kun Opera, which is considered to be a harbinger of other operas in China. Other rooms focus on Suzhou Opera, Pingtan, and classical instruments.

Considering that this is a local museum, you can find pictures of achievements of local artists and their performances both in China and abroad. If you visit during the National Holiday, you might have an opportunity to see the performance of Kunqu Opera.
