Zhongtian Gate

Zhongtian Gate is an arched passage dividing the trekking path on the famous Mount Tai into two segments. Climbing from the Zhongtian Gate to the Nantian Gate is one of the most difficult parts of the Mount Tai trekking. Depending on the time of the year, the journey will be covered with thick fog or bathed in sun. There is a cableway from the Zhongtian Gate all the way to the spot known as the South Gate to Heaven. A one-way ticket is 80 yuan, while the return ticket costs 140 yuan. The scenery and comfort of taking a cableway are worth the cost.
