The Three Hills Island (San Shan) is a group of three small islands on Lake Tai in the Jiangsu Province, China. It is considered one of the best wetlands of China due to its splendid scenery and clean environment. Situated at an elevation of 50 meters above sea level and spread over a vast area of 11 hectares, the three hills are connected by brides and walkways. The islands are also an ancient archeological site, especially on Dongting East Hill. The ruins show that humans lived here as back as 10,000 to 20,000 B.C. This is also a superb vantage point for the 88 meters tall Lingshan Buddha nearby.
