Bridge Within a Bridge (Tongji Bridge and Renji Bridge)

Located in the historic Wuzhen Town, Zhejiang Province, China is a very unique tourist attraction. So-called as the “Bridge within a Bridge”, it is one of the most scenic places and a photographer’s delight. Actually, there are two bridges crossing each other here. The Tongji Bridge is a 28-meters long single arch bridge that crosses the Shihe River from east to west. While the 22-meters long Renji Bridge goes north-south and joins the former at one end. When you stand on any one of the bridges you can see the other bridge through the arches. This gives the impression of there being a bridge within a bridge, hence the name!
