Luoji Mountain

Just 37Kms from the southern tip of Xichang City, Sichuan Province, China is the splendid Luoji Mountain range. It has eight peaks, all of them endowed with beautiful gifts from nature. The tallest peak is at a height of 4,360 meters above sea level. There are dense forests of conifers, 72 lakes and ponds, and a sea of azaleas. Glaciers of different classifications like moraine, U-valley, and icefalls are found here in plenty. No wonder the mountain range is called “Ancient Glacier Park” of China. The beauty of the region has inspired artists, poets, naturalists, and mountaineers from all over the world for centuries.
