North Mountain Cliff Temple (Beishan Si)
Xining, China
The North Mountain Cliff Temple (Beishan Si) built 1400 years ago is situated on the mountain near the Huangshui River. It is a Taoist temple in the Qinghai province. Many of the original murals have not remained in a good condition. Yet, tourists love to visit the temple because it is a scenic spot and a popular place for hiking and trekking. There are many walkways and bridges that lead to ancient Taoist caves. The caves themselves are decorated very nicely by believers and followers of the religion. The greenery and landscape draws tourists throughout the year.
