Considered one of the most important cultural places in the Yunnan Province of China, the Yunyan Pagoda is located in Dehong County. It is a holy place for the Dai ethnic community and is still a place of worship. The Munao stone pillars and the Water Splashing Pagoda are in the complex of the Yunyan Pagoda. In January each year, the Munao and the Water Splashing Festivals are celebrated in the temple complex. The Dai people indulge in singing, dancing, and many enjoyable activities. The best time to visit is in the month of January when the festivals are in full swing.
