The most convenient entry point for the gorgeous Jiulong Scenic Area is the town of Jiulong Town, Garze Tibetan Prefecture, Sichuan Province of China. This region does not have a huge influx of tourists and its beauty has remained unexplored compared to other scenic spots in China. Although it has a mild climate all year round, the best time to visit is either in June when the colorful flowers are in full bloom or in autumn (Oct-Nov) when the leaves turn a brilliant orange-red color. The nearby attractions include the Yeren Miao (Yeti Wild Man) Temple, Lieta Hu Lake, and the Wuxu Lake. The best way to explore is on horseback.
