Situated at a height of 1200 meters above sea level, the Huitengxile Grasslands is an example of the most beautiful alpine meadow. There grasslands also have the famous “99 Springs” which are actually 99 small natural lakes that are spread across the grasslands. The Grasslands look like a bright yellow carpet in the months from May up till September when the region is filled with flowers for many, many miles. Hence, it is also called the Yellow Flower Valley. Tourists also come to enjoy the horse racing, wrestling, archery, polo, and other sports during the festival season.
