Tiantai Temple
Jiuhua Shan, China
Spanning a very long history from the Tang Dynasty to the present People’s Republic of China, the Tiantai Temple stands testimony of different ancient practices. Although the original architecture had to be restored several times, it still has an aura of divinity and is a symbol of peace. It has the added advantage of being situated on top of a mountain peak, namely Mount Jiuhua, Qingyang County, China. The Mahavira Hall, Meditation Hall, Four Heavenly Kings Hall, and the Shanmen exude a sense of peace and serenity. The intricate external architecture and the surrounding greenery are a pleasure to see.
