Zhiyuan Temple

Tourists from all over the world are fascinated by the 3 large, 7Mts tall, gilded copper idols of the forms of Buddha, namely Sakyamuni, Amitabha, and Bhaisajyaguru. They are situated in the main Mahavira Hall of the Zhiyuan Temple, Ningbo Province, China. Besides these, the temple kitchens have 7 massive cooking cauldrons made from bronze that have been preserved for centuries. Known as the “thousand monks’ cauldrons” they have a capacity for cooking 200Kgs of rice at a time. The Maitreya Hall, Four Heavenly Kings Hall, Shanmen are also worth a visit.
