Gansu Provincial Museum
Lanzhou, China
With a vast collection of 350,000 exhibits, the Gansu Provincial Museum is situated in Lanzhou, China. It has a unique collection of painted colored pieces of pottery from Neolithic grottoes. You can also see some of the most exotic examples of ancient books, silk fabrics, bamboo writing paper, bronze and wooden vessels, and more from the Han Dynasty. A 4-meters tall fossil replica of a prehistoric mammoth is also an awesome sight. There are also exhibits of rare animals like red-crowned cranes, pandas, and golden monkeys. But the most exquisite relic is the "Galloping Horse" which was excavated from the Wuwei County of Gansu Province, making the museum a must-see place.
