To get the best pictures of the spectacular Kui Gate of Qutang Gorge in Sichuan Province, China you must visit the Baidi Cheng (White Emperor City). Also called the White Emperor Temple, this tourist attraction is not only a vantage point for the scenic Gorge but is a classic tourist attraction on its own merit. The Tuogu Hall, Mingliang Palace, and Guanxing Pavilion in the temple complex have a brilliant collection of ancient calligraphy and paintings. There are more than 70 stunning artifacts written in different calligraphic scripts. The two most priceless relics are the 1300-year-old pieces written during the Sui Dynasty.
