The Overseas Chinese Museum in Xiamen, China covers a large area of 3,000 square meters. It was established by Tan Kah Kee, a non-resident Chinese business tycoon. Most of these artifacts have been donated by wealthy Chinese businessmen who have settled outside China. The museum has more than 7,000 cultural relics spread over six exhibition halls. The halls include the Chinese Agriculture section, Inner Mongolia Folk Art, Tang Glazed Pottery, and the Xinjiang Unearthed Mummies section. There are bronze items, pottery, paintings, Fujian (province in China) photographs, precious ancient documents, rare animals and birds, aquatic products, and more. The collection is amazing considering that it is a privately owned and funded museum.
