Xiamen University Furong Tunnel

In Xiamen, there is a site that is unlike any of the ancient or modern tourist attraction in China. It is the Furong Tunnel located in the Xiamen University premises. The tunnel is 1,000 meters long, 4.5 meters high, and 8 meters wide. The entire length and breadth of the inner walls of the tunnel are covered with beautiful doodles and graffiti that have been drawn by the creative arts students of the University. These include artistic portraits that a number of prominent cultural, historical, and political icons of China, as well as personal messages of friendship in calligraphy.
