Yuelu Hill Park

Changsha, China

If you head west from the Changsha City Center, you will find Heng Shan Mountain in the suburbs. One of its 72 peaks is the Yuelu Hill, which is located more than 900 feet above sea level. Aside from featuring a peaceful and stunning landscape, you can also see numerous cultural relics in the area.

Yuelu Academy is one of the most reputable academies in Ancient China. Du Mu, the famous Tang poet, gave the name to the Love Dusk Pavilion, who later became one of the favorite spots of Chairman Mao, while he was studying in Changsha. Yuwang Stele and Lushan Temple Stele are two other symbols of the Yuelu Hill Park.
