Lushun (Lvshun)

Lushun (Lvshun) which is also called Port Arthur, lies to the west of Dalian City, China. Having the sea on three sides it enjoys the most beautiful natural landscape in the region. It is a 300,000 square meters conservation area that has numerous animals, including some which are on the endangered list. Visitors have to explore the area by cars which have meshes on the windows. The animals roam freely including predators like lions, tigers, bears, and other so-called dangerous creatures. The region also has 15,000 species of snakes. The Museum in the area has some of the most beautiful and ancient examples of calligraphy, mummies, paintings, coins, and bronze artifacts.
