The spectacular Mogetso Lake (Mugecuo or Wild Man Lake) is located near Kangding, Garze Tibetan Prefecture, Sichuan Province of China. It is a huge plateau lake at an elevation of 3,700 meters above sea level. The lake is surrounded by the Tagong Grasslands on one side and forests of pines, rhododendron, and cedars on the other sides. It lies within the Mount Gongga Scenic Spot so the lake is rightfully called the Mugecuo Scenic Area. It is surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks, waterfalls, lakes, hot springs, dense forests, colorful rock formations, grottoes, sweet-smelling flowering plants, and other sights that please the eyes and make excellent photographs.
