Id Kah Mosque

Situated in Kashgar city, the Id Kah Mosque is a largest mosque in China. The architecture is typically Islamic with a few ethnic features. The complex is spread over 16,800 meters area and the building itself is an imposing structure with a high ceiling and many large pillars supporting it. The area is divided into the Prayer Hall which is on an elevated dais, the gate tower, and the beautifully landscaped courtyard. The pillars have intricate carvings and pictures to match those on the inner ceiling. The tower too has attractive flower-shaped carvings in green color. The mosque is a beautiful place of worship and a must-see place.
