The Qingyan (Qingyan Guzhen) or Qingyan Ancient Town in Guizhou Province, China is the finest example of the Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture. Originally, the town was developed as a military base. But with changes in the Dynasty and the influence of various cultures and ethnicities, the town developed its own unique combination-culture. So you will find nearly 30 different styles of ancient residential complexes, temples, caves, courtyards, palaces, sculptures, gardens, pavilions, and more. The most attractive relics are the stone sculptures of the Ciyun and the Shoufo temples. While you ramble around the streets you can visit their cafes for tea, tofu, and rice.
