Huang Shan Eastern Steps
Huangshan, China
The Huang Shan Eastern Steps are easier to climb than the Western Steps. But the views from the steps are also less spectacular. Wildflowers like azaleas and weigelas give the valley below a bright and colorful appearance. The climb must be planned well to take advantage of good weather because the steps sometimes get completely covered with fog. For those who would prefer an easier way of reaching the peaks of Mount Huangshan, cable cars are also available at regular intervals. Again, it is best to avoid cloudy days, or else you will not get a full, unhindered view of the mountain peaks around and the gorgeous valleys below.
