Heye Village
Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong, China
There are nine remote villages in the Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic Area, Sichuan Province, China, of which seven can be accessed relatively easily. Of these, the Heye Village is the most popular tourist spot. The forests around the village are teeming with the giant panda, snub-nosed monkeys, swans, geese, ducks, and more. The influx of visitors is more in the autumn season when the green leaves of the lush virgin forests turn a brilliant orange-red and contrast with the blue skies and white snowy peaks. This Tibetan village has streets lined with small shops, where you can buy handmade ethnic souvenirs and wholesome traditional snacks.
