August 1st Uprising Musuem

Nanchang, China

The August 1st Uprising Museum is located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China. This gray stone five-storied building is a superb blend of Chinese and Western architecture. It was the headquarters of the revolutionary army during the 1927 uprising and has a lot of historical and cultural memorabilia related to the events. The gold-embossed tablet with the words “Nanchang August First Uprising Museum” written by Chen Yi looks very impressive. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, you will find numerous books, charts, relics, inscriptions, and Enlai’s photos that describe the glorious history of the Nanchang Uprising. It is the perfect attraction for history lovers.
