Tianfeng Pagoda

Ningbo, China

Located in the heart of Ningbo city, Tianfeng Pagoda attracts lots of attention of the locals, as well as the numerous tourists visiting the city. This extraordinary, 51-meter high, hexagonal-shaped pagoda dates back to year 695 CE. However, the original Tianfeng Pagoda was destroyed several times. The Pagoda existing today dates back to 1989. Long red walls and two lion statues symbolically protect the pagoda. Its architecture is said to be exquisite. Building materials used include wood and bricks. This is also an archaeological findings site, as old money coins, bronze objects and other valuable artifacts were found here.
