Purple Cloud Temple

The beautiful Purple Cloud Temple is located on the Zhanqifeng Peak of the Wudang Shan range in the Hubei Province of China. Being within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the temple is surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. It is dedicated to the Taoist guru Zhen Wu who was known for his magical powers and ability to control the elements. He is revered by followers of the Kungfu and Tai Chi martial arts. The main hall has many statues that depict the guru’s life and teachings. The walls are adorned with exquisite carvings and paintings of phoenixes, dragons, the universe, flora, and fauna.
