Tianzhu Peak

Wudang Shan, China

One of the many UNESCO World Heritage Sites in China is the Tianzhu Peak of the Wudang Shan range in the Hubei Province. Standing at a height of 1,600 meters above sea level, it looks like a massive beam that is holding the sky in place! There are 72 smaller peaks, pools, hot springs, lakes streams, colorful rocky cliffs, flora, and fauna. The forests have more than 600 Chinese medicinal herbs growing in plenty. Some of the places of interest are the Yuanhe Taoist Temple, Yuxu Palace, Taihe Palace, Fuzhen Taoist Temple, etc. The autumn season is the best time to visit because the forests look like orange-red flames during the fall.
