The Shaanxi History Museum located in Xi’an is a modern museum that gives visitors a comprehensive history of China through centuries. It has Chinese artifacts that belong to 115,000 years ago down the ages till the 10th century. The exhibits belong to the prehistoric period, Zhou Dynasty, Qin Dynasty, Han Dynasty, and the Tang Dynasty. Seeing the artifacts you will realize that the Tang Dynasty reign (618-907 A.D.) was the most prosperous period in China. There are exquisite items made with precious metals like gold and silver, 600 artistic murals, and numerous pieces of tri-colored glazed pottery that reflect the Silk Route era.
