The Ming and Qing Dynasty Woodcarving Hall is located in the Xitang Ancient Water Town, Zhejiang Province, China. Among the 250 wood decorations exhibited here, some of them date back to the Ming and Qing. The museum itself is an ancient structure with intricately carved wooden ceilings, beams, and pillars. The exhibits include carved beam heads, balustrades, window shades, and lattice windows. The elegant and exquisite designs are a demonstration of just how skilled the ancient craftsmen and artisans were. The most attractive piece is the statue titled "Basket of Lobsters, Shrimps, and Crabs" that is kept in a protective glass case.
